I'm Gabriel Moniz, but just Moniz works (there are too many Gabriels out there anyway). I’m a Brazilian creative with a background in art direction & design.

Currently, I spend my time crafting ideas, campaigns, films, art direction, design, brand experiences and more as a Senior Creative | Designer at Nubank.

I was born in October 1999 and raised in São Luís - Maranhão, but since 2019, I’ve been splitting my time between my hometown and São Paulo (shoutout to flights, nearly 3,000 km is no joke).

Since I was a kid, I’ve been fascinated by mixing ideas to create new ones, maybe influenced by my artist dad and pharmacist mom. That curiosity led me to study advertising at 16 and dive into roles like writing, radio, editing, and eventually, design and art direction.

That journey kicked off my career eight years ago, taking me through agencies like AlmapBBDO, Africa Creative DDB, Crispin Porter + Bogusky, Energy BBDO, Phocus and now at the Creative Hub of Nubank.

Over the years, I’ve been lucky to work with amazing people and win a few global, national, and regional awards along the way, including Gold at the Cannes Young Lions Live Award in 2021 and being named one of VOZES30 by Papel & Caneta in 2019.

That said, I’m terrible at talking about myself. But I love listening to and telling stories. I'm also into music (and everything around it), sports (especially boxing and basketball), gaming (both playing and watching live streams), movies, TV series, YT contents and basically, anything that screams entertainment, especially if it has a Brazilian twist.
